Physcian Assistant #12 on Glassdoor’s List of Best Jobs in America
More people are noticing how great the PA career is as it climbed from #25 last year to #12 this year on Glassdoor’s list of best jobs in America.
Glassdoor is a job and recruiting website that has come up with a list of fifty best jobs in America. They rate the jobs based on earning potential, overall job satisfaction and number of job openings. Each category is weighed equally to come up with an overall score.
According to Glassdoor, PAs earn an average salary of $105,000. This is on the low side, with the recent AAPA report showing salaries around $107,000. The amount is negligible and might be accounted for by how the data is collected.

PAs had a job satisfaction rating of 3.7 out of 5. These ratings are from employees who have rated their jobs. Also, the website showed 9,819 job openings for PAs currently.
PA is a career to consider if you’re looking at something that has a good salary, high job satisfaction and available job openings. Don’t take my word for it, just look at the list to see for yourself.
