Job Growth for PA Profession
The PA profession is again on the top of the list for healthcare professions; this time for the highest job growth by 2028. The Bureau of Labor and Statics predicts that the PA profession will grow by 31% between 2018 and 2028. Coming in at second was nurse anesthetists, nurse midwives and nurse practitioners at 26%.
PA has ranked well as one of the best jobs in America, and this past year was ranked as the Best Job in health care. One reason why it has ranked so well is because of the potential in job growth in the coming years.

The growth in the profession has led to increases in salaries as we have seen in multiple PA salary reports this past year. PAs averaged a salary of $115,881 for 2018-2019 according to a recent salary report.
With the steady increase in salaries and the growth of the PA career there should be plenty of opportunities for current PAs; and a great reason for those who are thinking about joining the field in the future.
